Channel Normalization on Jalan Bantar Jati Completed

Recently, water channel as long as 500 meters on Jalan Bantar Jati, RW 02, Setu Urban Village, Cipayung, East Jakarta has been normalized. This normalization is done by Cipayung Water Resources (SDA) Unit together with PPSU personnel and local residents.

We want to anticipate flood by normalizing this channel

According to Setu Urban Village Head, Jenuri, normalization is done because channel had been silted up due to mud sedimentation and there are some damaged parts of this channel.

"We want to anticipate flood by normalizing this channel," he said, Friday (5/10).

Normalization is done by personnel and residents using hoes, crowbars and others for about a week. Some of local residents also contribute by giving materials to repair cha nnel such as cement, stones, and sand.
